We cannot predict how or where a fire may start,
therefore it is fundamental to the design of a building to protect its
occupants from fire.
Halspan Limited introduced a new approach
to the manufacture
of Fire Doors. Making fire doors from door blanks ready tested to FD30,
FD60, FD90
and FD120 integrity.
A 3-layer particle board has been designed for use
in the
fabrication of solid core doors. A complex combination of chemical and
engineering development has resulted in the superior quality and strength
of Halspan high performance timber door blanks.
Fire resistance can be planned into a project for doors and partitions
at the earliest stages without detriment to the designer's overall concept
The flexibility of Halspan
increasingly meets the needs of designers: flush and panelled style doors;
hardwood, softwood, aluminium and hollow steel frames; as well as glazing
style options.
It is this expertise that sets Halspan above other
door constructions.
HALSPAN SEALS
Halspan has developed a range of fire seals to compliment the range of
fire related door blanks. These seals have been fuly tested to BS476 pt22
1987 and BS EN1634 pt1 2000 for performance to 30 and 60 minutes fire
resistance.
The seals are available in the following sizes: 10mm x 4mm, 15mm x 4mm
and 20mm x 4mm depending on perfomance requirements.
